Terms of service
The rules of how we work together.
Last updated: November 6, 2026
1. What WebFoundry provides
WebFoundry designs, builds and hosts a professional business website for you. The build is free. You pay a monthly plan fee for hosting, maintenance and content updates once you sign up for a plan.
2. Trial and billing
- You choose a plan and give us your business details. Plans are $195 to $395 per month plus 13% HST for Canadian customers. Current plan details are on our pricing section.
- We build your site, normally in 5 to 7 days, and send you a preview. You can ask for changes before it goes live.
- You get a 14-day free trial. Your payment method is saved but you are not charged for 14 days. If you cancel before then, you pay nothing.
- After the trial, plans renew monthly until you cancel. There are no long-term contracts.
- To cancel, email hello@webfoundry.ca. A self-serve option will be added to the customer portal when it launches.
3. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate business information.
- Keep your payment method up to date.
- Do not use the site for illegal content or activity.
4. Content ownership
You own the content you provide (text, photos, logo and branding) and your domain name. You give WebFoundry permission to publish that content on your site. WebFoundry keeps the rights to its template designs and underlying code, which are licensed to you while you are a customer.
5. Service availability
We aim to keep your site online at all times, but we cannot promise zero downtime. Outages can happen because of provider issues, DNS or maintenance. If we cause an extended outage, we will credit your account.
6. Cancellation and your data
You can cancel at any time. After cancellation we keep your site online for 30 days, then delete your data. You can ask for an export of your content during that window, and we will help point your domain to a new provider.
7. Liability
WebFoundry's total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect damages.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
